A counter argument to my last post? Perhaps a prequel haha
Self Control
By: Kristen
Bound to be safe
Objectifying ordinary behaviors
Mental exhaustion aching my captured mind
The conscious mind to be securely reconciled
Induced by the fear of utter isolation
Calmly synchronizing the motions
Mocking the others in a steady beat
Diluting creative intentions
Boundaries eating away
Cumbersome to obey
But safe to portray

This almost describes autism, in a way. Or someone so mentally spent that they have to go through the motions. Don’t worry!

Maybe anxiety? That IS mentally exhausting. I bet you are a deep thinker, but dislike small talk.

yeah I’d much rather have a meaningful conversation it actually comes easier than small talk haha

It does for me as well. When I do have a small talk conversation, I try to make it interesting for myself. But I prefer meaningful to small, and deep to mundane.
